The aim of Green4C was to increase innovation capacity among universities and businesses to promote Nature-based Solutions for health, wellbeing and social inclusion. Today, we look back at 3 years of work with to better understand the impacts that the project was able to generate.

We are happy to say that through events, networking activities, learning materials, and online and in-presence courses, Green4C was able to reach more than 70,000 people from all over the world.

In total, the project organised 101 events – attended by 7,500 people – to promote and raise awareness about the benefits of Nature-based Solutions for health, wellbeing, and social inclusion. These events were extremely enriching form us too, giving us the opportunity to discover different practices and frameworks. At the same time, Green4C produced 6 reports analysing educational gaps, innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities in Green Care, as well as 20 case study factsheets illustrating best practices for Green Care initiatives.

Because we believe that education is the fundamental point of start to ignite significant change, Green4C developed 1 online course and 1 in-presence summer school. Overall, more than 130 people enrolled in our learning opportunities.

Finally, with a consortium of 12 partners from 6 European countries, Green4C was able to create a strong network of Green Care enthusiasts, which then expanded in all 5 continents. To this date, the Green4C alliance – which is still active – counts 196 members!

In general, we can say that, during these 3 years, the Green4C project positively contributed to 5 SDGs, namely SDG 3 – Good health and wellbeing, SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 13 – Climate Action, SDG 15 – Life on Land.
